Remembering the Summer Tour 2006

During Melissa's 2006 Summer Tour....

1. What 2 songs were played only ONCE each? and at which shows? Hint: One of these 2 songs was attempted at another show but was not completed!

Also during the show, Etheridge shared another uniquely Columbus tale of her first live radio performance at Newport in 1988. The singer recalled that she was all set to perform with a live band when all of a sudden their instruments' power supply went out. All that was left on was her microphone. Just as she did 18 years ago across the street from the Wexner Center, Etheridge prompted the crowd to accompany her with hand claps as she belted Janis Joplin's Mercedes Benz (flawlessly, of course).

*Ready To Love - Toronto, Canada
This song was requested at a previous concert but Melissa could not remember the lyrics....so at the Toronto show Eagle and Golfie came prepared with thier sign complete with lyrics on the back! How could Melissa refuse!

2. By request, which song was performed for the first time on the piano in Orlando, FL?
Sleep - it took me and Koda 4 times requesting it...but the end result was incredible!

3. What were the 14 core songs that were played at all 46 shows?
* If I Wanted To - played in the #2 spot except at the Del Mar Fair - where it was the opening song.
* I Want To Come Over - played in the #4 spot except at the Del Mar Fair - where it was the 2nd song.
* Come To My Window - this song was played in either aprox. the #5 or #8 spot as there was a setlist shake up about a third of the way into the tour.
* Angels Would Fall/I Need To wake Up/Silent Legacy/Scarecrow/Tuesday Morning - these were played back to back in this order in aprox. the # 9-13 slots. The only exception was on opening night in Las Vegas when she played This Moment in betwwen Angels Would Fall and I Need To Wake Up.
* This Is Not Goodbye and I Run For Life - these were played together as aprox. the #16 and #17 songs.
* Bring Me Some Water/I'm The Only One/Piece Of My Heart - these were the last 3 songs of the regular set before she left the stage, only to return shortly for the encore.
* Like The Way I Do - first of 2 encore songs played upon returning to the stage.

4. There were 3 songs that were rotated as the last song of the evening....what were they?
* Talking To My Angel - 15 times
* Keep It Precious - 14 times
* All The Way To Heaven - 16 times

Only once did she do 2 piano songs, that was when she played Sleep in Kansas City then also playing Meet Me In The Dark.
Twice before the piano song she also sang Four Days - Houston, TX and Clearwater, FL (both by request)
And only once she sang Mercedes Benz in Columbus, OH prior to the piano song.

When You Find The One - 4 times - this song was played as a bonus "box song" on the 2nd night in Lowell, MA. This was the only time that there were 2 box songs played.

* Del Mar Fair, CA - 18 songs were played (14 of which were the core songs played at all 46 concerts. The other 4 songs were Don't You Need, Meet Me In The Dark, Chrome Plated Heart and Keep It Precious)

There were 24 songs performed at each of the following shows -
